WE DID IT!
Thanks to you, the campaign was a HUGE success! Far and beyond the most I dared to hope for. It’s been funded since day one and it still hasn’t sunk in yet, but I’m more energized than ever to take The Cloud Factory to heights I could have never achieved without your help.
The Effort Continues
As promised, I’ve set up a PayPal friendly shop front to accommodate for those who could not pledge through Kickstarter. It is now live and fully functional! So if you fall into this category, or you’re just now hearing about the project and missed out on the official campaign, you can pledge here for many of the same rewards.
In addition to working on the rewards and the comic itself, I’m preparing a thank-you video to share with you all that will give you a run-down of all that we have achieved, as well as what the extra funds will go towards. Since I won’t have the final numbers until the PayPal shop closes, I’m holding off on publishing it until midnight Sunday night, May 19th.
I am humbled, and deeply honored, by the extent of your generosity and encouragement. Thank you so much for making this possible.

My Kickstarter campaign for Volume Zero of The Cloud Factory is in the home stretch now! Only 48 hours to go!

We’ve hit NINE stretch goals so far…

…and are on the cusp of achieving the tenth! These stretch goals have added rewards and extra value to nearly every backer tier, improved the quality of the book, and increased the amount of content everyone will be able to read at the launch of the comic.

The comic itself has been funded for at least one year!

Because it has been so incredibly successful, I will actually be able to quit relying on commissions as my sole source of income and focus on the comic full-time for at least one year. It also means offering more cool products without worrying about the upfront cost, and attending more conventions to meet you guys!

Can’t use Kickstarter? You haven’t missed out!

I have a PayPal-friendly shop set up and ready to launch as soon as the Kickstarter campaign has run its course. On Saturday evening at 7:05pm EST, I’ll put up a link to the shop, where you will be able to pledge for reward tiers $100 and under until Sunday, May 19th, at 11:59pm EST.

Pledges taken through the PayPal shop will also contribute to the stretch goal progress, so the project still has room to grow after the campaign has come to a close.

If you’ve already pledged or spread the word…

Thank you so much! It’s because of you the project has become such a great success. And if you haven’t, check out the campaign page to learn more about The Cloud Factory, and what I can give you in return for your support :>

Since posting this about five hours ago, the 10th stretch goal has been met and surpassed. The project is now 1000% funded!

I’m just gonna keep saying thank you till I die, I think.

Cloud Factory: The Garden

This latest track embodies the class and tranquility of Dame Bellefleur’s massive greenhouse. Within it, the extensive collection of rare blooms and plants she uses in her work blends seamlessly with a perfectly manicured garden.

Molly spends as much time there as she can upon her return to the valley, soaking up the artificial sunlight and tending to the flowers.

Well, folks, there’s still five days left in the campaign and I can’t thank you all enough for propelling it this far!
As of writing this post, the project is a whopping 919% funded, and we’re creeping up on the 9th stretch goal, which adds a new 1” button to all tiers $35 and up at 70k! The design will be unveiled when the goal is met, but something tells me we won’t have to wait very long.
For those of you who haven’t been staring lovingly at the campaign page nearly every waking hour of the day, here’s a summary of everything we’ve accomplished so far:
Three bonus comic pages have been added to the book and the online launch, for a total of seven pages for everyone to read as soon as TCF starts!
The book has been expanded from 32 pages to 36.
A 1” Kickstarter-exclusive pin and a bookmark have been added to all tiers of $25 and up.
A sticker sheet and an additional two 5 x 7 prints have been added to all tiers of $35 and up.
An antiqued brass and enamel luna bee pin has been added to all tiers of $45 and up.
Give yourselves a pat on the back, guys, because this is incredible. Way beyond what I dreamed of achieving in this campaign! Seriously, I think I may have had five or six stretch goals planned initially and had to expand it to TWELVE because they were being met so quickly.
I’ll be able to make The Cloud Factory the best it can be, and it’s all because of you. Thank you.

William & Penrose Na’Melorra

The twins Na’Melorra were the source of much grief for Théo as children, stemming from a fierce rivalry between him and Penrose over Molly’s friendship. Their fights were frequent and often imbalanced, with Pen trumping Théo in age and size, but the tension faded over time after Molly moved away and Pen stopped growing.

Now 18, Will and Pen help their parents run their shop. The Na’Melorras are clothiers by trade, the knack for which William inherited the lion’s share, but Pen has a head for numbers and helps with the business side of things.

Due to the secluded nature of the valley, the latest trends in fashion always arrive months past their prime, so the family has had little luck doing business outside of Rivervale. Trade with Lakeside is very lucrative, however, as they can offer stylish clothes for less than it would cost to import in fabrics better suited to the valley’s climate. They also have a major client in Molly’s aunt, Dame Bellefleur, whose wardrobe is comprised almost entirely of bespoke garments made by William.

Will and Pen’s grandparents immigrated from a country that is almost as much jungle as it is desert. Their parents had an arranged marriage, but are fairly nontraditional themselves and don’t expect their children to do the same. While William prefers modern fashions, Pen dresses for comfort and prefers the loose, draping clothes of her grandparents’ homeland.

They own a tawny dwarf cat named Daisy.

The Volume Zero Kickstarter has surpassed its seventh stretch goal with ten days remaining! Learn more about the Kickstarter and what you can receive for supporting the project here.
